Murali Vijay represents India in world cricket. Up until 2018, he was a consistent contributor to the Indian Test squad. He now competes for Tamil Nadu in local 1st class games. Before even being chosen for the Tamil Nadu Under-22 squad, Vijay played junior cricket in Chennai after beginning to play the sport at the age of 17.
He advanced swiftly, making his first-class debut for the senior Tamil Nadu squad in 2006. In his debut first-class competition, the 2006–07 Ranji Trophy, he was one of the leading run scorers.
In November 2008, he was given his Test debut when the team’s usual opener, Gautam Gambhir, was given a one-match suspension by the ICC. By October 2008, he had already played for South Zone, India Red, and India A.
Profile
It’s fascinating how, when assessed in terms of aptitude, a single person’s intelligence and mental capacity may range greatly.
There is no greater disgrace to his family than for a young, aloof adolescent from a studious Tamil household to fail his board exams.
Murali Vijay ran away from home and got a job at a snooker bar to support himself. This sounds like a scene from a movie.
Career
Murali Vijay, who played club cricket in 2003 for Alwarpet, was selected for the Tamil Nadu Under-22 team for the CK Nayudu Trophy.
Despite his mediocre performance, his team triumphed. He was re-called to the team for the next tournament after playing professional cricket for an additional year, but he did not do well again.
Nevertheless, he had the chance to play against Karnataka in his senior cricket debut.
Subsequently, he faced the Railways, and only managed to score 17 and 38 runs, respectively.
But everything changed when he made his first breakthrough in the Ranji Trophy in 2006–07. With 628 runs, he ended as the third-highest run scorer. His maximum score was 179, and his average was 52.33.

- He just began playing cricket at the collegiate level when he was 17 years old, but he quickly got Bharat Arun’s attention and was invited to play for Tamil Nadu in the Ranji Trophy and at the junior level.
- At the age of 17, Vijay failed his 12th grade examinations with a 40% grade; in contrast, his sister received a 98%. His father informed him that he was qualified for a parental position after his bad performance.
- He left the home and checked into a nearby hotel after being offended by his father’s comments.
- He began working at a billiards club and a committee company to start making some money, along with playing cricket.
Murali Vijay’s wife
He is married to Nikita Vanjara/ Nikita Vijay, formerly Dinesh Karthik’s wife, an Indian wicketkeeper-batsman.
During the fifth IPL season in 2012, Murali Vijay met Nikita Vanjara, and they immediately started dating.
In 2012, during a very important Vijay Hazare Trophy match between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, Karthik found out that his wife was dating Murali Vijay.
When Karthik found out about their connection, he promptly divorced Vanjara, and the next year, she and Vijay hastily got married.
The Tests He Took
Gautam Gambhir was banned for one test for elbowing Shane Warne, so Vijay played his first test against Australia.
Later, when Gambhir was unable to play in both of the tests against Sri Lanka owing to family obligations in December 2009, Vijay was given another opportunity.
India became the top-ranked side in test cricket because of Vijay’s promising 87 in that test match, which also helped India win the match.
In the test match against Bangladesh and the two-test Home Series match against South Africa, Vijya served as V.V.S. Laxman’s backup.
Later, in 2010, Vijay defeated Australia in his first-ever Test century, making 139 runs. Vijay was later taken out of the test squad for a long time because Gambhir and Sehwag were already there.
After Gambhir lost his form in 2013, when he struck a fantastic 167 against Australia, he was then welcomed back. With 430 runs and two scores of 150 or more, he ended up leading the series in scoring.
Murali Vijay’s Love Story
According to rumours, the tale began when Dinesh Karthik and Nikita Vijay were wed. Murali Vijay attended the wedding and a few of the celebration events.
Murali Vijay and Nikita became closer as a result of their interactions at numerous social and sporting events.
Dinesh gave his wife a divorce when she found out what was going on, and Nikita married Murali Vijay soon after.
Murali Vijay’s wife, and how did they meet?
While both Murali Vijay and Karthik (her ex-husband) played for separate clubs in the 2012 IPL competition, it is said that Nikita, Vijay’s wife, first met her husband-to-be.
Before things became uncomfortable for the group, Karthik and Vijay both played for the same state team, Tamil Nadu.
In what year was Murali Vijay married?
The couple wed in 2012, not long after Nikita, the wife of actor Murali Vijay, separated from her ex-husband Dinesh Karthik. Both the marriage and the divorce were hidden from the public.
Any love triangle is devastating to the individuals involved. You will undoubtedly feel sorry for Dinesh Karthik after reading his tale. He is a key member of the Indian squad and has made significant on-field contributions.
His off-field life, meanwhile, is in disarray. Dinesh Karthik has been backstabbing for a very long time for a cricket player who was highly regarded in the IPL and subsequently had the opportunity to represent India. Murali Vijay is his given name.
He spent a long period dating Karthik’s wife, and ultimately the two were hitched.
Both players have a strong fan base and have been fairly effective on the field. In 2007, Dinesh wed Nikita Vanjara, a childhood buddy.
She violated his confidence and began an illicit relationship with his colleague Murali Vijay after they had been married for five years. Dinesh was unaware of the situation for a long time; he finally learned about it during the 2012 Vijay Hazare Trophy.
This experience grieved him, and he bravely decided to divorce his wife. She then married Murali Vijay when she was still pregnant.
Nikita and Murali Vijay are a loving couple with three kids right now.
